This is an OFF Site Pre Registered session that will be held at Edison School, Address: 322155 15th St East, Okotoks, AB T1S 1A2. Delegates are responsible for their own round-trip transportation. There is a participant fee of $150 +GST for this session. Please bring a cheque payable to Badminton Alberta or exact cash.
Shuttle Time is a grass roots badminton coaching delivery system focused on school teachers, beginner coaches, and their respective students. This blended learning program’s goal is to instruct teachers and novice coaches in the technical and tactical skills of badminton in a progressive, systemic manner. This program has been integrated into the CAC / Badminton Canada Instructional coaching stream, and aligns with CS4L and LTAD models and protocol. Application of this program is intended to promote physical literacy within the school system using badminton as the conduit.This on court introduction to badminton exposes coaches to the basics of the game which includes grips, forecourt movement, backhand serve, net shots, as well as an overview to the overhead clear. Participants will also be presented with a series of revision games that will re enforce the specific technical skills.
